Ms Hollie Shipley joined Wellington Bangkok in August 2021, where she began teaching in Reception for two years. She then moved to Year 1, where she has been teaching for the past two years. She is delighted to teach in Year 1 and as an Early Years Reading Lead. She graduated from the University of the West of England in 2016 with a degree specialising in Early Years Education and has since had experience working in schools both in the UK and in Bangkok, mainly based in the Early Years. At her previous school in Bangkok, she was also Head of Early Years, and through this role, she was responsible for developing the curriculum and supporting the teaching staff to ensure the development of high-quality teaching and learning. Ms Shipley is very much looking forward to welcoming your child to Year 1, getting to know them and your family. “Since beginning my journey in education, I have been passionate about encouraging student enthusiasm, inspiring a life-long love for learning and developing students' individuality to promote a sense of self-worth. I firmly believe that wellbeing should be at the centre of everything I do. If I have a happy and positive classroom, students will have a better understanding of how to deal with and overcome any challenges they may face with resilience and determination. This will, in turn, help them to reach their full potential.”
