Mr Jamie Flegg joined the Wellington Bangkok community as a Year 3 teacher in August 2023. He has lived in Bangkok for ten years, eight of which at another top international school, where he held the position of Assistant Head of Primary along with other subject leadership roles – most prominently in Maths. He graduated from the University of Bedfordshire in 2012 with a B.Ed. Hons. in Primary Education, specialising in English and design technology. Following his graduation, he worked in an outstanding Primary school as a Year 3 teacher and Head of Music. Mr Flegg is very much looking forward to welcoming your child to Year 3, getting to know them and your family. “I am excited to be continuing my teaching journey at Wellington Bangkok this year. Having been settled in the Wellington area for several years now, I am looking forward to further developing my role within this fantastic community. I truly believe in the adage: ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and as such am looking forward to getting to know better and working with all members of our community to help our students learn and grow into well-rounded, confident individuals. At the heart of my pedagogy lies a commitment to establish trust within the classroom. By fostering a sense of safety and security, students will be empowered to embrace challenges and engage wholeheartedly in their learning, unlocking their full potential."
