Jayne Scott joined Wellington Bangkok in 2022, teaching the Nursery Penguin class. Prior to that, she taught Reception in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She holds a BA Ed (Hons) in Primary Education with a specialism in Drama in the Primary Classroom from St. Martin’s College, Ambleside. After starting her career in the UK, she soon embraced international teaching, with her first post abroad in Qatar. During maternity leave, she founded a local playgroup to support families and provided a fun, social space for young children to learn and interact. Ms Jayne is deeply passionate about teaching young learners and creating a nurturing, play-based environment where children can develop essential social and life skills. She believes that learning through play lays the foundation for confident, curious, and independent learners. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support children as they take their first steps into reading and writing—helping them unlock the world of language, self-expression, and communication.
