Mr John Ludvigsen is a founding member of Wellington Bangkok. After graduating with an honours degree from The University of Edinburgh, Mr Ludvigsen embarked on a ten year career as a professional snowboarder. Returning to the UK in 2014, he completed his PGDE and subsequently taught across key stages in a primary school on the east coast of Scotland. This role provided the unique rural environment to forge his teaching practice and develop leadership roles in outdoor learning. Transferring his teaching qualities, passion, and philosophy to another culture and country was a natural choice - helping to establish Wellington Bangkok through his role as Year 6 Class Teacher from 2018-22. This provided the foundations to then lead the growing Year 6 team during the past two academic years. Mr Ludvigsen is very much looking forward to welcoming your child to Year 6, getting to know them and your family. ‘I look excitedly forward to collaborating creatively on new learning projects to stimulate student-led discussion, critical thought and collective achievement. Through adopting a holistic approach and innovative teaching methods, I strive to empower the individual and instil a growth mindset for life-long learning. I relish the opportunity to not merely ‘teach’ but rather ‘inspire’ students at Wellington Bangkok once more.’
