Junyu Deng joined Wellington College Bangkok in September 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in teaching Mandarin as both a first and second language. She spent two years teaching in the UK, working in several public schools and a historic private boarding school. Additionally, Junyu served as Head of the Mandarin Department at an international school in Shanghai and worked at a renowned international school in Shenzhen, China. There, she was responsible for delivering the national Mandarin curriculum for native speakers and preparing students for international examinations, including the IGCSE and A-Level courses, where her students consistently achieved outstanding results. Junyu holds both a bachelor's and a master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a Second Language. She is certified as a national native Mandarin teacher for primary and secondary education in China and also holds qualifications in teaching Mandarin as a second language. “It is an honour to join Wellington College International Bangkok, a school with an exceptional reputation.
