Ms Chloe John joined the PE Department at Wellington Bangkok in August 2025. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status from the University of Worcester and a BSc (Hons) in Sports Studies from the University of Wales, Newport. Since qualifying as a PE teacher in 2007, Ms John has taught in various schools across the UK and Asia. She previously served as Head of PE at Tenby International School in Miri, Borneo, and as Primary PE Lead at the British Vietnamese International School in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2015, she returned to the UK to take up a teaching role at a large secondary school in Wales, where she also works as a GCSE and A Level moderator for the WJEC exam board. Ms John has a strong passion for sport, particularly netball. She is the founder and Head Coach of a large community netball club in South Wales and has played the sport competitively since childhood, coaching numerous teams to success. She has also represented teams in hockey, Gaelic football, cricket, and touch rugby. “I believe it is the teacher’s responsibility to provide exciting, engaging, and challenging lessons as part of a holistic learning experience. PE is a powerful medium for this, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to lead healthy and active lives. It is incredibly rewarding to see students thrive beyond the classroom, and I view these experiences as a vital part of school life. Over nearly two decades of teaching PE and leading departments, I’ve had the privilege of working across a full age range and in diverse international settings. My personal passion for sport enables me to inspire students through genuine enthusiasm, and I’m excited to share this with everyone at Wellington Bangkok.”
